Harry Potter Adventure Returns

Commemorating the last Harry Potter movie premiering this month, Fan Faire Costume Shop is sponsoring a Harry Potter Adventure! Wizards and Muggles alike are invited to a family-friendly day of wizard-themed activities on Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Join Dumbledore’s Army in the Hunt for the 7 Horcruxes! If you are successful in your quest, you are eligible to enter to win Great Prizes!

Participants will visit familiar places in search of the seven items they must retrieve. At Privet Drive they will prove their knowledge of making a potion, at the Burrows they must find a hidden diary, and at Gaunt’s Cottage Nagini the snake awaits to devour you! Students must attend a grueling classroom experience with Professor Umbridge, search for the hidden Room of Requirement, and take part in the dark arts training of self defense at Grimmauld Place along their quest. Then it is a hike into the deep, dark Forest of Dean to locate the ultimate weapon, the Sword of Gryffindor!

There are activities for all age groups, including crafts, games, scavenger hunt, trivia contest, lunch and more. Pre-registration is required for the event.
